Emily's first footprints. How tiny!

Hello, my name is Emily Brooke Harrington. I was due on February 7, 1999 but due to my mother having preeclampsia (toxemia) I was born three months early on November 7, 1998. I weighed in at a whopping one pound and one-half ounce and was eleven and one-fourth inches long. The picture above are my first footprints, tiny aren't they? My eyes were fused shut and I didn't get to see the world until November 26, 1998. I didn't breathe on my own until December 28, 1998. I tried to breath on my own earlier but didn't succeed. Below is my very first picture. Susan, one of my nurses is using her hand to show you how tiny I was.

Emily's off the respriator!

This picture was taken the first day that I was taken off the respirator.

Emily's coming home!

This is me finally getting to come home from the hospital. I had to stay in the hospital for 100 days.

Emily's preemie diaper

This is my preemie diaper, believe it or not this diaper was to big for me. The nurses used a cotton ball for my diaper. As you can see my diaper wasn't much bigger than one of my Uncle Stevie's ball cards.
